Greetings from Pennsyltucky!

Hello, greetings from Pennsyltucky! Actually, from Pennsylvania, where Princess Der & I are visiting my mom and uncle for a few days! My (dearly departed) brother & I used to call Pennsylvania that! I've been meaning to get down here, and since I work at home, and she is homeschooled...I thought why not now? We had a few days with no activities or doctors appointments, so here we are!

Princess Der has been helping my uncle paint the porch today. He is disabled and confined to a wheelchair. He can stand for a minute or so, but that's about it. So, she climbed up the 8 ft ladder and painted all the parts that were difficult for him. Although I should add, he HAS been on that ladder and others! He is very crafty at figuring out how to get things done when necessary!

We all went to lunch downtown - man the Steak sandwich w/ onions & peppers was delish! Then Princess Der went with my mom to work in the gift shop at the hospital.

Our ducklings hatched this week !

It's been a week, I must say, and I'm ready for a party- how about you? Why not join us in Virtual Girls Night Out?

Photobucket

Just go to Ann's site at:

http://annagain66.blogspot.com/

Add your link. Check out the other blogs listed and leave a comment. The others will do the same for you.

Give-away!

Last week, I was giving away 2 child ID kits- that's one to 2 different winners. Gena one one of them (surprise! I haven't even told her yet!) So leave me a comment and let me know you want the other one, and I'll put your name in the hat :-)

Secret Santa!

Last week I asked how would you all like to do a "Secret Santa?" Anyone that wants to do it can let me know and I'll put your name on the list. Maybe mid-late October, I'll draw the names and distribute them to the participants. We can either do something like a $5.00 or under gag gift or a homemade gift- what do you guys think? I can send each participant something to fill out beforehand about their hobbys and such.

Let me know in the comments section if you would like to join in. We can post pics of our gifts on our blogs when we get them.

Anyhoo- must go get a bite to eat, have a little more work to do, then I'm partying! Ya-hoooo! Later!

Carolee,

I know that freedom of working at home and homeschooling! Going on vacation during the 'off' season, sleeping late, staying up late, going to the museums and movies while everyone else is at school.

My younger kids are enrolled in public school this year, but who knows about the future? It's so much easier at home!

Happy VGNO!

Hi Carolee...

I just found you from Ann's site (the blog list).
And being a work from home mom, and fellow pjamma lover ~ I had to come for a visit.

Love your site!!! LOVE ~ not even kidding. I am following you now.
(in my pyjama's, of course)
