I have been going crazy making doctor appointments lately. I was due for everything- up, down, and all around. Since I work for a health benefits company, I get the dental, vision, prescription & chiropractic for FREE! Actually, the whole household does. Ron is due for the dentist (as am I- nooooo) and Ron has also never had an eye exam. He's had plenty of metal dug out of his eyes, mind you...but that's another story.

So last week, Ron had his eye exam. I knew he needed glasses as he can barely see the paper! Come to find out, he does need glasses for reading. Using AmeriPlan, he saved just under $70 on his lenses and frames. Check him out. Yes, it's Ron! He also got a haircut and shaved his beard.

Momma's got herself a new man!



Grandpa no sooner got his glasses than I was wrestling around with Little Man, laying on the floor and letting him flop down on me. I turned over at one point and... he jumped. My glasses bent up like an accordian. Ok, not quite that bad. But for two days i was trying to straighten them, a little at a time. Finally, I said forget it and again pulled out my AmeriPlan card. I also got some new frames -pic to come-the batteries in the camera died. Anyway, I saved $74 and some odd change. Both Ron & I got a cheaper pair of glasses because we are cheap - oops- I mean dangerous & irresponsible. Ok, both.



Between the farmette and his job, Ron has lost 2 or 3 cell phones and countless pairs of sunglasses by leaving them on the bumper of a big rig, or running over them with the roller thingy (brain fade) that you use to go under a big rig. He dropped my cell phone (after losing his) while on a road call & broke the screen. My (old) camera was in his shirt pocket when he went to give the goats some water. The goats weren't the only things getting water. My camera fell in the water bucket!



Lets see- I'm not too bad. I did lose a cell phone in the toilet once! We were leaving to go to my sisters in Virginia. I had my cell phone in my back pocket. I ran in to go pee just one more time. Uh, oh...phone got a teeny bit wet!



So, besides the savings we get at the chiropractors, we can now add the savings we have received at the vision center.
