Wow, am I glad to be here!

We have been having some Internet issues lately, and overnight it breathed it's last breath! Since I work at home, I was having a minor heart attack here. Priase the Lord for the Blackberry- I was able to check SOME of my email, but not all. I still need to get my AmeriPlan email onto it. I was planning to do that today, but now I'm not sure.

I have to catch up with email, run my ads and call a few people back. And putting corporate email is a little more involved. Come to find out, since I bought an older model Blackberry, I can't do everything I want on the Internet- unless there's a software upgrade. I'm awaiting answers on a Blackberry forum. I can update (hardware) through my carrier in October, so unless I can find a way around this issue, I'll have to deal for now. Email is the most important.

Pinkberry, Blueberry

Ok, I got my new Blackberry, which I call my "Pinkberry" the other day right after I posted. So now, I'm not just working at home, I'm working EVERYWHERE! Ok, not exactly yet- still trying to figure a few things out. I have my Hotmail and Yahoo account going to the phone, but still having issues getting my AmeriPlan email and some websites. I also haven't figured out the volume (duh-probably the easiest thing!) and how to turn off the vibrate and alarm that goes off everytime it downloads the email.

Friday Ron took half a days vacation and we went to our friend Dennis'. Actually, we all went- me, Ron, Golden child, my oldest son, my step-son and Princess Der. We (mostly Ron) gives Dennis a hand with haying, and in exchange, Dennis lets us get hay for our goats. He also runs a blueberry patch- he sells the blueberries, has pick-your-own, and sells some other produce from his garden.

When we got there, Dennis was picking as it had been so rainy they hadn't been able to pick. Now, the berries are huge, and needed to be picked before they split. So, we picked a couple of pailfuls for him, and took some home. Ron & I decided to go back the next morning to help them get a start on their day.

We got there and they were BUSY! They have some people that pick berries for pay- they were all excited to be able to work. There were also a lot of pick-your-own people there. We picked 4 buckets for Dennis and took another home. My mom also met us there and picked. It was fun, and we helped a friend out- that's always a good thing.

Later, my nephew and the kids came over for a while. Then, we had a fire outside and sat around that for a while.

Yesterday Princess Der went with her cousin and his wife to be in a parade. Ron & I went visiting friend's. You may remember Uncle Kenny from this post . We stopped at Uncle kenny's to see the new deck he added to the back of his house and the progress on his kitchen renovation. Both very nice!

Then we went to visit Horner-boy, who you met here . Had a nice visit with him, then went to grab something for supper. Got some yummy steaks and cooked on the grill!

And that, my friends, was my weekend. What about you?

DON'T FORGET ABOUT MY GIVE-AWAY!

I'll be a "Crackberry" addict when you see me again!

Ok, we're back again for another round of "Blog Hopping" for the Virtual Girls Night Out! I think I'll need a nap today so I can make it through all the blogs for once. I try to catch up on weekends, but usually family and friends stop over. And Mondays I'm back to work on my home business, so I try to catch some blogs here and there.

This week I....what the heck did I do? It seems it went so fast!

Princess Der had music camp for two days this week. They did something at The Piano and Organ store at the mall. They had musicians from several different states come in and talk to the kids about the different uses for music. For instance there are careers writing music for commercials and movies. Playing music, mixing music, teaching, etc...Her friend spent the night for two nights and went also. The camp was FREE, went on for 5 hrs each day, and they served lunch.

...and they got to write a song and play the piano.....

You can't beat that with a sharp stick.

Of course, princess Der wants organ lessons now! We'll see what it cost and if there's a contract- you never know. It could be part of her homeschool education.

Last night, after tons of research and talking to (techy) employess at several (techy) locations over the last few weeks...I bought a Blackberry! It's an older model and I got it for under $100.00 from ebay. We'll see how I like it. When we're due for an upgrade, maybe I'll get a newer version. But from what I read, some "Crackberry" users are downgrading to this model because it's so sturdy and you can't kill it.

And it's pink! They had a choice between black or pink, so I went with the "el Pinko"

Those of you who know me would say, "Pink? For Carolee?" I mean, I hate shopping, hate dressing up (except special occasions), hate styling my hair, I HATE EVERYTHING- psyche! But anywhooo, I would be the last person you would expext to have a pink phone.

But honestly, I have ALWAYS wanted either a purple or pink car. So much for not being a "flashy" type! So here's a pic of my new phone:

Ain't she "Purty?"

I got notification last night that it was shipped. It's coming all the way from California, so may be a few days.

In other news....after Ron practically flipped out on the boys for not helping out, they have really been using their noodle! They came up with a plan. If everyone had a cup with their name on it and used ONLY that, we'd have less dishes. Duh, do they not remember the Christmas they each got a cup I decorated exclusively for them? And how they thought it was soooo lame? Well, now that they are doing dishes, it's a great idea! I don't know why no one believes me- I am always right :-)

So now for a while, the boys have been doing the ( now less) dishes at least once a day. I have to admit, Ron's son has done them more, but my son was out working for a week with a friend earning some money. Other times they do them together. Either way they (sort of) rinse them, then put them in the dishwasher. Usually it's a 1/2 assed job...

Princess Der was helping me yesterday by dusting the living room and sweeping the kitchen. My friend stopped by and "caught" her working. My friends hubby works with Ron, so I told her to let Ron know Princess Der was working her butt off!

So anyway, enough of our boring life...it's time to party! Get on over to Ann's and start blog hopping. See you around the blogosphere!

GOOD LUCK!

ipod touch, iphone,blackberry, blueberry...

I am embarking on a new techy-type purchase and I need some imput. When you work at home, you sometimes aren't really home (surprise guys!). I mean, you may be shopping or at the park with the kids.

Imagine the park scene: You're bored. If you had your laptop, you could be running ads or answering emails. But between the baby, the diaper bag and the stroller, the last thing you need is something else to babysit.

And doesn't it seem your phone ALWAYS rings at those times- and on the other end is someone SOOOO excited about your product or business opportunity they want to sign up NOW...but they are work and can't use the computer for personal ventures. They want you to enroll them NOW. You can't. Pooh!

Those of you who have been following me have probably read about Ron and I being delayed in the airport (or should I say airports) a week or so ago. Carrying my laptop around those airports for so long, it was getting heavier and heavier. And, it was another bag to keep track of.

So, since our return, I have been on a search for something better. I started out looking at small little laptops. Cute, but.....My sons girlfriend got an ipod touch. That looked interesting.

My daughters birthday was last week. Now get this. She asked for 3 different things. She only wanted one of them, it was up to us which one we got her. She wanted a parakeet, or a hamster, or an ipod touch. Ron starts flipping out about how we don't need any more animals, and besides she doesn't take care of what she has (her room IS a mess, but she knows where the important stuff is.)

So, I got on ebay and other places looking for a refurbished or used ipod touch. I mean those things are expensive! I got one at a fairly good price for me my daughter. Now, I can play with that and see if getting something like that would benefits me (ok, so no more animals worked out for me, too!).

Anyway, I think a parakeet or hamster would have been cheaper, but this does look like fun and EVERYONE at the airport had one! (I sound like my kids now!)

Moving along...

The boys are telling me I need an iphone. I'm just starting my investigation into them, but it seems to me that they are more reasonably priced and it appears you can do more. So.......

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Which brings me to the Blackberry.

I have to look furthur into it. It seems the other day I read something on it that made me think "No". But darned if I can remember what.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Now, for a little input here:

I'm looking for something where I can get on the Internet and check email, blog, run ads, CUT AND PASTE, etc... while being on the phone. Can you be on the iphone talking and be on the internet at the same time? How about a blackberry? Or am I better off getting an ipod touch and keeping my cell?

Do you or have you owned any of the above mentioned gadgets? If so what is your opinion of them? Did you like it/ them and if so why?

AND....don't forget about my give-away:

You can win the book The Slight Edge ( one of my personal fav books) Read about it and enter here .

And, don't forget VGNO!
