A new meme? And big dreams, better make some big goals!

This week has just flown by, as usual! I've been pretty busy with the home biz. Right now, all our our dental and health plans are 1/2 off. If someone gets a plan by the end of February, it's 1/2 off each month for the next year.

I've also been busy on my new blog, Princess Der's school-  homeschooling our way. It was supposed to be by the two of us (as a away to encourage her to write) but she has lost interest. She wants one on babysitting, so she's doing that. She does love her kids!

I am also learning a new marketing system. It is so much easier than chasing people down. Once you get started, you have access to TONS of articles and video's. It has really helped me in my work.

If you're looking for a new meme, this may be for you, especially if you are a homeschooling mom or a teacher. It is called Field Trip Friday!

If you have been on a field trip during the week, post about it and add your link here:

Check out our field trip at:

http://princessderschool.blogspot.com/

That is where the big dreams, big goals come in!
And that's about it folks!

Class is officially in session!

Today is our first day of homeschooling. I am both a little apprehensive and a bit excited. I do know that I feel so blessed to be able to even attempt this. If I weren't working at home, I don't think I could even contemplate such a hairbrained idea. Thank You, AmeriPlan for giving me this opportunity to be home and assist my daughter on her learning journey.

It is almost 10 a.m.. We got started around 9:15, and my daughter has already finished 2 subjects. Granted I wasn't sure how much to give. I was going with about how much work I would see come home when she was out sick. I know the first few weeks will be seeing "where she's at" and learning her unique learning style.

She slept right through the whole school bus thing. I was afraid she would be sad seeing it go by. Nope-she slept. A half hour or so later, she got up... for a few minutes. She said she wanted to go back to bed. I told her to go ahead!

I mean, I told her I was going to try to work it so any "book work" was done by noon. Art, science experiements, going to the YMCA, organ lessons and real living stuff (shopping, etc..) in the afternoon.

But, if she wants to take until 9 p.m. to do her paper and book work, well...no play or TV until it's done.

Anyhoo, must get to work. Say a prayer for me!

Good Luck & see you all later!

A whole lotta yadda-yadda!

Well, well there's just a whole buncha stuff to talk about....although none of it is very significant in the scope of things.

If you guys remember, back on Valentine's Day, I cleaned out the fridge- it was pretty scary!
Well, this morning on the radio I hear about what happened when a good hearted AT & T employee decided to clean out the fridge. Check it out here . I guess mine wasn't THAT bad!I mean, we all continued our day........

So anyway, this past week has brought many visitors:

We had a new tenant move to the pond in our front yard

...and some have come back!

Little Man also stopped by for a visit:

The poor child went home all beat up. He has developed quite a temper when you tell him no. Well, the child LOVE'S (with a Capital L) the great out doors. We tried to bring him in yesterday and he threw a major fit and smacked his head on the end table- got a little goose-egg!

Then, he fell into a plant that had thorns and got all scratched up on his elbow.

Then...just to top it all off, Rocky decided to plow into him, knocking him over.

That was yesterday. You would think he'd never want to come here again. I wasn't here when they got here today, but Ron said he was quite cheerful.

Uncle Kenny has also dropped by a few times this week...

That's him with the saw,the other one is Ron. Just so you'all don't get confused, Uncle Kenny is NOT related in any way, shape or form. Not that there's anything wrong with the guy! He is actually the "Uncle" to another friend of ours, Ray. Actually, he's been in a long term relationship with Ray's aunt...or something like that. Anyway, we've always just called him Uncle Kenny!

And just to confuse you more, my dear sis is married to a Ken, so my kids have a real Uncle Kenny, too. Have I lost you yet?

Now, let me tell you about another friend, Uncle Eddie. Ok, maybe another time.

So, anyway, Ron and Uncle Kenny have been cutting trees. Uncle Kenny burns wood in the winter and boy, we've got wood!

This week also brought my beloved Lilacs!

Mmmmmm....they smell sooo good!

So, what have I been doing with myself beside taking pics of everything & everyone?

Let's see the 11 yr old had strep throat, so part of Tuesday was devoted to that. I see her doctor more than I see my own mother....

Then, today I had an appointment with my podiatrist...

He's a nice enough guy, and he takes AmeriPlan (what a good guy!)

To be totally honest, what I really like about that place is the nurse. We'll call him "Cute Thang". He is a real (young) cutie, and really is a very good nurse. The first time I went there, the doc examines my footsies and then declares that he will have Cute Thang come trim my nails. Well, I had to endure Cute Thang playing with my feet. Momma- Mia! Kidding folks!

Anyway, when I get there today, it's apparent that Cute Thang is running the show. There is no receptionist, and Cute Thangs checking people in, calling them into room and the whole shebang.

I get called in fairly quickly, and only had to wait a few minutes for the doc. Cute Thang had it all under control.

After seeing the doc, I go out to get my prescription & my next appointment. The normal receptionist is finally there- Cute Thang was off the hook. Almost....

The receptionist went to copy my prescription and the copying machine didn't work. She says, "Cute Thang, did you break the copier?"

He says, "I can fix that-watch," He sprayed a little cleaner on the glass (plastic) window where you push your options, wiped it off, spun around, and waved his hand over the machine- and it worked! Cute Thang saved the day!

After I left the docs, I put some flyers out for the Dental and Health Benefits and the home business opportunity with AmeriPlan

Once I got home, Little Man welcomed me with a huge hug & kiss. Grandpa made everyone some hot dogs. Then it was time for Grandpa to go to work. Little Man & his Dad went home....

...and I took my laptop outside and started working. I was running ads titled "I'm sitting in my backyard, working...Where are YOU?"

I wasn't bragging, you understand. Just telling the truth.

I'm sorry if the poor people reading the ads were stuck in an office somewhere-that's just not me!

P.S. That's not me in the pic...ah-hum...my bikini's a little bigger!

I've been working as much as possible lately . I have a chance to win a trip to Vegas. Also, I am trying VERY hard to promote within the company to Senior Regional Sales Director before the convention in July, then I can walk across the stage with other's that have promoted.

If any of you blogging buddies know anyone that needs dental, vision, prescription, chiropractic or health benefits, they can go to:

http://www.dentalandhealth.com/

....or if you or anyone you know is interested in a home based business, go to:

http://www.findfreedomathome.biz/

Anywhoooo...Ron just got home, so I should go say Hi.

You'all have a great evening and we'll see ya'all soon!

Wordless Wednesday? Sorry, I just couldn't shut up!

I know I have been fooling around with wordless Wednesday the last few weeks, but today I just had to share! Most of you know I work at home with AmeriPlan selling affordable dental and health plans. I am always sharing why I think they are a great company. Well, here's another reason why:

I can win an all expenses paid trip to sunny Las Vegas! Sure could use the sun now :-)

Usually, only so many people can win these trips (usually 2 trips/yr.)- say the top 50 producers, or the top 100. This time, anyone is eligible- they just need to get 1,250 points. I'm not sure yet how many points each enrollment is, but hey, I'm going for it!

And....in April, the points are doubled!!!!! Yeee-haw!

So dear friend's, I know I'm being "businessey" today, but if you know anyone looking to work at home, send them here and if you know anyone that is in need of affordable benefits, please send them here .
Tell them to mention your name & web address or email so I can thank-you and I will return the favor to you somehow (advertising on my webpage, refer someone or something)

Thanks guys!

And for being such great friend's, here's a little treat! Ummm...can you tell I just figured out the whole video thing?

And, don't forget to skip over to Bloggers Connect , check out the fun & leave your link

I play with paper dolls while working at home!

I love working at home! It's not just about marketing, prospecting and training. At least not in the traditional sense. This week, I played with paper dolls! And now, I would like to formally introduce Saretta Sue! She's sweet & sassy, but not very classy!

In the pic she is standing in front of the hot new car she bought with the proceeds from her home biz "Widget's for Women".

Ok, so what does paper dolls have to do with health benefits and /or working at home? Actually one of the groups I belong to had the doll pattern you could print. The first 5 dolls get a customized banner ad. My doll was the second submitted. So, I won a customized banner. I told them I want the banner for my website: Come On Home . So, look for my new banner soon!

My 11 yr. old daughter and I made one and had a ball! In the contest "rules" they stated you can name your doll. I used the name Saretta because I have liked that name ever since I first heard it. My cousins mother-in laws name was Saretta, although I think it was spelled differently. Like I said, I really liked that name when I heard it. The Sue just seemed right. And where the home biz for womens widgets came from... it just sort of came out.

Her dress was made from a house coat that was my grandmothers. Gram passed away last spring. Everytime I go visit Grams old house (where my mom & uncle currently reside), my mom always wants me to look through Grams jewelry and clothes. Gram loved her jewelry and she really had some nice clothes. I loved the pattern on this particular piece of clothing. It was pretty old and had quite a few rips. I figured I would make pillows for the window seat in my office. The pattern is so Gram and I figured it would be a nice reminder of her. Well, when looking for something for Saretta to wear for her debute, I ran into that. It was perfect! Saretta is based on a mix of many people, one of whom is Gram. So I made her a dress with a little of the material. Of course Gram had class, where Saretta is a bit flambouyant at times.

Saretta is also a little of me - at least personality wise. Or rather the me I wish I could be. I am much too nice. If people do dumb irritating things, I sit there thinking a few things I would like to say to them , but wouldn't. Don't want to hurt their feelings!

Anyway, we had so much fun making the dolls, we did it again! Saretta started a blog called
Saretta's Home Business Survival Guide . You can see a full blown pic of her hot new car. See what she is up to in her crazy life, and maybe get some business sense!

At the last posting, Saretta was leaving town for a warmer climate. Can't wait to see where she went and what adventures she had!
Hope to see you there!

Is AmeriPlan a scam?

Wow, I just received this. This just proves why I believe a home-based business with AmeriPlan is such a great opportunity. With the falling economy, we can't lose! Check it out!

Ameriplan USA Review

Is Ameriplan USA A Scam?

When looking for a great home based business, I came across the Ameriplan USA. This business seems to offer a good deal of perks for those who are brave enough to take on a home based business. Most of the fly-by-night companies do not offer much of anything except training support. They are nothing more than a pyramid business with no options or benefits.

Below are some of the benefits I have seen that Ameriplan USA offers:
- They have an advantage over the fly-by-night businesses and that is longevity. Ameriplan was created in 1992 and is still going strong.

-They offer a good product that millions of Americans actually need. It is well known that perhaps the best way to make money is to focus on a need that people have. If you can fill that need, you have a good money maker. The statistics of the Census Bureau show the number of uninsured Americans is currently at a record high of nearly 46.6 million. Ameriplan offers people a practical solution that is reasonably priced. Their membership offers a discounted healthcare membership network that can save people money on medical care as well as dental procedures, prescriptions, vision, chiropractic services to name a few.

- Reasonably priced services and products that everyone can benefit from. Memberships to Ameriplan can start at around $11.95 per month for an individual and as low as $19.95 per month for a whole family.

- They offer their “new business partners” a benefit package where most other companies offering home based business opportunities do not. That alone makes them exceptional.

-They offer an excellent Business Opportunity. This is the ideal business plan as it is very easy to do with little work. Ameriplan does not require licensing, office space, inventory or even employees. They offer a solid pay structure, utilizing a multi-level marketing pay structure.

Their representatives do not hound people to try to get them to sell their product. The product seems to sell itself. There have been bad reviews listed from the consumers in the past, but most seem to be from misconceptions. They think they are buying a health plan like those offered from major medical insurance carriers there for, when they do not get the same copay’s, they are disappointed. They are looking for a quick fix and aren’t sure how to utilize the discounted medical plan that Ameriplan has to offer. More people today are turning to plans such as Ameriplan, as most medical facilities accept most all types of insurance plans.

You can find the review at : http://www.federalreviews.com/ Ameriplan_ Fraud.html

Just to clear up any misconceptions, our plans now start at $14.95. Just a reminder- we are not insurance, but a discount plan. However, savings on healthcare can be significant with AmeriPlan.

Life is just one big routine.....

.....once you get used to it, it changes! I made that saying up years ago and it never fails to be true! Even working at home, it is almost impossible to settle into any kind of schedule- at least with my family! It seems just when I get into the groove of things, something changes. Of course, I guess all the parties involved should be thankful that I work at home and have the flexibilty to accomodate almost any situation.

For instance, I was giving my son a ride to work everyday. He came back from down south about a year ago and has had a heck of a time finding steady employment (hasn't eveyone?). With so many places folding, there are less places to go to everyday. To top it off, most jobs are through temporary agencies. They promise to hire you after 90 days, but it never happens. He also is without wheels and is having a hard time saving for a car on his low-paying temporary jobs. So, I give him a ride.

The last place my son worked was about 1/2 hr away. Not that bad on a good day- it's a nice ride through the countryside. I actually started looking forward to the drive every morning- after I dropped him off, I had a good 1/2 hour to think and plan my day. Taking him to work became part of my routine. Of course, the snow has arrived, and I did in my head wish that a job a little closer to home would pop up. Well, my son was let go the next day. He did find a job (temporary) about a week later that is only 5-6 minutes from home-yeee-haw! But for that week he didn't work, I couldn't get my bearings together at 1st. I swear i have adult ADD!

My honey, Ron also had his hours change around that time. He goes to work an hour earlier now. Between the two, I was kind of aimless for a few days. Then I found my groove with the new routine. Then, my son finds a new job, so the routine has changed again! Oh well, I love that I can help my loved ones. Where would my son be living in the country with no car, no bus service and looking for a job?

So, I am now establishing a new routine and pray that it doesn't change anytime soon. The 5 minute drive instead of 1/2 hour gives me more time to work on my business, so I can realize my hopes and dreams faster!

Well, must get to work, while I can! :)

The Canine Working Companions Event

Santa giving treats to the dogs

Yesterday me and another broker, Larry set up a table at the Canine Working Companions Event. The organization trains dogs to be used as hearing dogs, service dogs and therapy dogs. We really had a great time talking to the other vendors and some of the people who train the dogs. My 11 year old "came to work" with me. She is great about going around & handing out flyers to people for us. We gave out a lot of information on our benefits programs and work at home. We had a contest giving away a weekend vacation for two as 1st prize, a shopping card for second, and a free Rx card for 3rd.

Here's a pic of Larry trying to get people to fill out raffle tickets for the Canine Working Companions as well as our raffle for the vacation. We were also giving out bags that had a toothbrush, a benefits flyer, and a dog treat.

Canine Working Companions also had Santa available to get pictures of your pets for Christmas. So there were a lot of dogs there. There were so many cute ones. We saw a lot of retired greyhounds, a few pugs, a puggle, a french bulldog, the whole line-up it seems.

Canine Working Companions are going to be coming to one of our Girl Scout meetings and doing a presentation for them. My girls are excited as anything dog is cool.

We are thinking of training a puppy in our home. I think it would be a great way to give back to the community. Also, my daughter needs to do a community service project for Girl Scouts. The organization takes care of vet bills and such, we are responsible for getting the dog to the appointments and training classes. We also need to buy the food. So, we are going to see about going to a training class and checking it out. It may be hard to give the dog up at 12-14 months, but rewarding when you see where they go and how they will enrich the lifes of the person they go to.

The neat thing is, you have to socialize the dogs, so you can take them into stores, restaurants, etc... with permission. Apparently most managers are ok with it. Once they are through training, then obviously they can go anywhere. I would like to train a therapy dog and take it to nursing homes and hospitals.

I really enjoyed our time yesterday, seeing those in wheelchairs come with their dogs. Very touching. Hopefully, Larry and I will get a lot of business from our efforts yesterday and that my family and I can help those less fortunate by training a companion dog.

Gotta Go!

A new year is dawning- where will you be this time next year?

Why start a home business?
Things are tough all over- not only are factory's closing their doors, but so are other sectors of the business world. Today I heard Starbucks and Circuit City are closing stores. People fear for their jobs. Many are considering alternatives.
Are you thinking of starting a home based business? What are you afraid of? It can't be any worse than working for someone else, unsure everyday if it will be your last day.

Working from home can be one of the best decisions a person can make. You can save a ton of money on gas, babysitters and other costs associated with working outside of the home. The everyday stress of waking up to an alarm clock, rushing the kids to day care, going to work for 8- 10 hours, and then rushing home to eat, do housework and prepare for the next day is enough to drive anyone to insanity. No wonder we are such an unhealthy society!

Fortunately, there are many home business opportunities to choose from. Selling vitamins and weight loss products, make-up and shampoo, jewelry, food, kitchenware, gifts, legal services, healthcare, credit cards, financial services, electric and telephone service and more! The great news is, most home business start up costs are minimul, usually less than dinner and a movie for two. You are your own boss, an Independent Business owner – you run your business how and when you want to. The money you make is your money - you are making your dreams come true, not someone else’s!

The money that can be made is phenomenal. Do an Internet search and you will find tons of statistics stating that there are more millionaires in Network Marketing than any other industry. Add to that great home office deduction’s and you can see why having a home business is desirable to so many.

But it is so much more than money. It is the pride you feel when you work hard, and those around you (many who may have formerly frowned upon your business) sit up and take notice. It’s about taking our lives and our families back. No more babysitters raising our children, no more missed school plays! It’s about showing our kids a different way. That they can work toward their dreams. That hard work and patience pays off.

So if owning a home business is so good, why don’t more people start one?

I really think the number one reason is fear. Most often, fear of failure. We have been conditioned since we were quite young that you go to school, and then you grow up and work for someone so that you can survive day to day. No one teaches us that we can be successful on our own. In fact, the people that love us the most are quite often our dream stealers. They are trying to look out for us. They want us to “play it safe.”

But consider this: Both Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki both have said that if they were to lose everything and have to start over, they would start a Network Marketing Business. These guys know what they are talking about!

Most people are also deathly afraid of the word “sales” and Network Marketing” . But if you think about it, you are already a Network Marketer. When you hear a great new CD, you tell your friends. They run out and buy it. Imagine if you got paid for every time you told your friend to buy that CD and they did? That’s all you are doing with your home business.

“ But, I have no money, no time, and besides, I don’t know how ……”

I heard a great saying on the radio the other day – “Inch by inch, anything’s a cinch!” That goes for funding, building and maintaining your business. If you do not have the money to start and you are deadly serious about changing your life, you will find the money. You may have to sacrifice pizza and a movie for a few weeks, or even buy one less video game for J.R. But by putting that money into your own home business, you are creating a legacy that you can leave to your loved ones. And they can help you with the business, too. What a great hands on education into the world of business. Many children of Network Marketers wanted to own a home business themselves.

Once you have the money to start, you need to eek out the time. Wake up ½ hr earlier or go to bed ½ later. Forget the Seinfeld repeats (my favorite!) Take that time to do any training. But don’t get so wrapped up in learning EVERYTHING that you never get started. I have had people call me after 3 weeks and say they are quitting because they haven’t made any money. I want to say, “You haven’t worked yet!” People need to understand that they can be making a better income than a brain surgeon in 2-4 years- but the fact of the matter is, just like a brain surgeon it doesn’t happen overnight. A surgeon goes through years of school, which they have to pay for. Network Marketers are also learning a new trade, or “going to school”. It just doesn’t take as long, and they can“earn while they learn”.
As mentioned earlier, there is usually a start up fee associated with a home business. If you were starting a Mc Donald's franchise, you would have to pay for that franchise. You cannot expect a company to send you a marketing kit, set up your websites, and even sometimes offer benefits for nothing. This is your business.
There are usually monthly fees or dues as well. These cover many services. When compared to paying for each service separately, it is usually a steal. A drop in the bucket when you see the big picture. I know. I started a business doing something else a few years ago and had to pay for and design my own websites, do my own accounting, answer customer questions, the whole 9 yards. This left me no money or time to market the danged business! Pay a small monthly fee? Ok!

The important thing to remember is to find something you can love. If you have a flair for fashion, perhaps a home business with jewelry and other accessories is where your success would lie. If you love make up and perfume, there are plenty of home business that offer those products. If you like helping others save money, there are home business that offer utilities, telephone, health benefits and more. Sometimes, it takes trying a few home businesses on before you find a good fit.
If a company says you will make $3,000 in 2 hours, put up the red flags! $3,000 a month after a couple of years, yes. Look at the people in the company. Do they have many successful people, or only a handful? Is their training duplicatable? You want to walk in, get trained and get to work. You don't want to have to create brochures, flyers, webpages and such. Learn the system and earn. Continue to learn as you earn and watch your paycheck grow.
And that is the beauty of a home business- you can do what you love, when you want and how you want. The question is- how bad do you want it?
Where will you be this time next year?

Work at home today! Daily Pay, benefits!

Praise the Good Lord I work at home!

I just thank God every day for this opportunity to work from home. My daughter has been to the doctors about 8 times in the past month, as well as to the dentist and orthodontist several times. The other day she FINALLY had her rheumatologist appointment. I swear if I had a job, I would have been canned by now!

The bad news is, she does have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. She has what is called polyarticular JRA, which means it involves 5 or more joints. Usually with this type, the same things will hurt on both sides of the body, which is exactly what happened to my daughter! The doctor had his team of fellow rheumatologists take a look at her. She already has some joint damage, but how much ? She had a bunch of x-rays of her feet, knees, hips, and hands - from every angle imaginable. This particular condition can fade away as she approaches adulthood, or could worsen. the doctor has her on an aggressive treatment plan. One of the drugs is a drug used in cancer patients. She might end up losing hair. We'll see. If so, I told her I would shave my head and we can wear crazy hats and wigs!

The good news is, I am home now ! ! ! I am here to help her if she's having a bad day. If her condition should deteriorate, I am here. I am building my business so that in a year or two I can kick back and enjoy my life. I will at that time have the time and the money to take my daughter to places that she has always wanted to go to.

I am trying to find other children in Central New York who may have this condition. I want to start asupport group for these kids if there isn't one already. I had a response from an ad I placed from a college student who wants to do a photographic story on my daughter as she goes through her everyday life living with this illness. I have to talk to her and see what it entails and what she is looking for.

I have to get going in a minute. I have to go get stuff for our Girl Scout Halloween party. I also need to work on my flyers for my candy bags. One of the suggestions I heard on a training call the other day is to attach a business card to each piece of candy you hand out. I live in the boonies and get no trick or treaters. So I'm making up candy bags with a flyer inside and heading to the closest town. I'm going to hand the bags out to kids while I'm walking my daughter around. Each homeowner that gives out candy will also get a flyer.

We are having some real action on my team! Several of my new brokers are writing business. I have been involved quite a bit with our team training calls. They are always so much fun as well as informative. I really like helping others move their teams forward. Like I always said, when one of my brokers does something cool like buys a house with their AmeriPlan earnings, I'll probably be so proud and happy, I'll cry!

Well, must get to shopping & working!

Lost your job, now what?

Wow, I was just watching a news clip on the computer from CBS news called "Lost your job, now what?"

It is about the GM plant in Moraine, OH that will be closing just before Christmas. Many people are worried not only about where their next meal will come from, but what do they do if they should become ill and need to see a doctor. The family in the video , the Campbell's have a little girl that needs braces. Now they won't be able to get them for her. I wish I had their contact information- we have a health plan that may fit their needs. After that clip, they had one with advice for those who have lost jobs. They talked about healthcare being hot. They also said many in small towns will start home businesses,

I really feel that anyone considering a home business should really look into AmeriPlan. AmeriPlan is a great choice for those who want to work from home, but don't want to store, sell & ship products or have to do home parties ! All that's needed is a telephone and a home computer. All training is done from the comfort of home, and you choose what hours to work.

We are also recession-proof ! We started in 1992 and have seen the economy dip a few times, but our company has still grown and is a $100 million dollar company. We are also a debt-free and growing at a rapid pace to become a BILLION dollar company!

70% of Americans have either no insurance, or inadequate coverage. Our company continues to grow because of this ever-increasing need for affordable health benefits - and your own home business with AmeriPlan can grow, too! Because we get paid residually, we are always adding to our income. That is how leaders in our company can achieve $100,000, $200,000 and even more in annual residual income. They may have made $20.00 or $2,000 their first month, but with time and consistent effort, they have built their business to 6-figures. The only difference between the winners and the losers in business is the losers quit before the blessing.

Winners never quit, and quitters never win (Vincent Thomas "Vince" Lombardi)

I just praise the Lord that I am part of such a strong company and have such caring, supportive leaders!

1-800-918-5154We like to see you smile!

WOW! We had a GREAT event!

Another broker and I set up a table at an event this weekend to spread the word about our dental and health plans and work from home opportunity. Many people seemed impressed that we get paid residually, which means we get paid every month on work we already did. That's how people can achieve $100,000+/yr in annual residual income. Granted, it's a build. Some people expect that much their first week, and are disappointed when they aren't rich yet. People also like that you can work your biz your way. I like doing events. Some people like to play on the computer all day, participating in discussion boards and such and meeting future prospects that way. Whatever they choose, consistency and patience are the key that opens the doors to the riches that await them.

We had a lot of fun. Larry, my broker brought helium and balloons, and candy for the kids. My daughter and her friend came, and boy were they good workers! We held a raffle for a vacation and $25.00 in free gas. The person that won the vacation had a choice of several destinations: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Reno and Cancun to name a few. My daughter and her friend went all over that place, getting vendors and customers alike to enter our drawing. We had over 100 entries! There was an area on the tickets to checkmark if they are interested in information on benefits or work at home . We had many people interested in both.

The woman who won was soooo thrilled- she said she had never won a thing before! We actually had a $300 gas voucher- redeeemable at $25.00/ a month. We didn't state that for the raffle because people don't seem to believe you- they think it's a scam. They are more than happy to take $25.00 in free gas- but $300.00- NO!

There is another event coming up that we decided to participate in. It is a much larger event, and we are planning on having even more prizes.

I met a couple of ladies at the event Saturday- one sells Lia Sophia jewelry and one sells Tastefully Simple gourmet foods. I was telling them my idea for a home business expo. Maybe have it in January, and have all the home business companies represented. People who want to start the new year out with a new opportunity can come and see all the opportunities available to them. Vendors can also have their wares for sale. They really liked that idea, so I'm going to check into that. I would also like to start a Woman in Home Business networking group. We'll have to see.

Tonight, I was co-hosting our training call for a class we have called FastTrack2RSD. RSD is the first level of management with AmeriPlan. When a person promotes to RSD, their $2,500 accidental death and dismemberment insurance is doubled, and they receive a vested contract making this THEIR business, and is both willable and sellable. This business can be left to loved ones when we are gone. God forbid if anything should happen, those who have achieved RSD or above can rest assured knowing they are leaving a legacy to their family.

The FastTrack2RSD class helps new brokers achieve that goal as quickly as possible. I talked about flyers, events and how to talk to prospects when they call to inquire about the benefits. I really enjoy doing these calls- it is so cool to help others succeed. I've never had a J-O-B where I could be successful and help others be successful at the same time.

And like the title of this blog states, I can do a good share of it in my jammies!

Testimonies say it all!

When you work at home as an Independent Business Owner, you have to make sure you have proof that your product or service works. Advertising will get you a long way, but hearing real stories from satisfied customers really speaks to potential members. Here is a great testimony that came to us from a gentleman whose wife' s leg had to amputated.

Hi Everyone,

We wanted to share with all of you a powerful personal testimonial!

June 11, 2008 was the day that my wife Sharon Clarke had to undergo emergency surgery at Southwest Medical Center Hospital in Vancouver, Washington.

Sharon was very ill due to massive infection in her left leg. Her Doctor advised her to come to the hospital immediately where she had to have her left leg removed below her knee to literally save life.

Sharon is not only my wife of 40 years but my all-time HERO!
She is up and walking on her new leg and continues to keep a very positive attitude each and every day.

Sharon and I are grateful to AmeriPlan and the AmeriPlan Total Health Plus program we sign up for the day it was available in Washington State.

Our total bill was over $35 thousand dollars. But thanks to AmeriPlan and the Karis Group our total bill ended up being zero! Hard to believe, not really, AmeriPlan works and it works for all of us who take the time to sign up as AmeriPlan Medical Members.

We also save several hundred dollars on our prescription drugs each and every month.

Please feel free to share our story with your new or current members .

Blessings to Each and Everyone,

J & S Clarke
Vancouver, WA

Working from home ain't as easy as it sounds!

Lil cousins, Big Problem's and A Tranny!
You are probably thinking the same thing I was- "What ?" I turned and looked at Ron. "What the heck are you watching NOW?" Of course I knew what he was watching......... Jerry Springer.

Since Ron started working nights, I often hear a muffled chorus of "Jerry, Jerry!" through the wall between my office and the livingroom as I am working . Although I find the chant irritating, after hearing it a couple of hundred times, I found myself chanting, "Jerry, Jerry" as I was going about my day. I filled my mind with other things- training calls, telephone calls, music, anything to drown out the cries of the audience as yet another woman yanks up her shirt and flashes America so she can have a pair of Jerry Beads.

What do you say? Jerry beads? How do I know about that? I'm supposed to be working at home, not watching Jerry! Honestly, it only took one time passing through the living room to catch on to that one. A woman had her hand raised to ask a question. The microphone gets there and this woman literally threw up her shirt and showed her stuff! Ron laughed like the dicken's over that. Now I know why I hear hysterical laughing coming from the livingroom all the time!

So of course, another day, same show. I pass through and Ron's just cracking up. I ask what's so funny- there's a fellow on Jerry Springer who goes by the name of Reverand Shnore (sp???). Strange character! Apparently he will go anywhere and marry you for $100. He also marries people on the show.

Wow- I know a lot about the show- and I don't even watch it- just catch a glimpse here and there or hear some of it while making breakfast. But after a while, you can't help but pay attention. You can't go back to work until you see the rest of the story.

Which is what happened today. I walked through, and saw the words Lil cousins, Big problems, and A Tranny flash across the T.V screen. I stopped in my tracks and looked at the TV and start watching. Suddenly, I shook out of it and remembered that I was supposed to be working. And I left and walked back into my office and got to work.

Which goes to show just how hard it is to work at home. Other people in the home, friend's calling on the telephone, the pile of dishes in the sink can all be distractions that pull us away from what we need to be doing.

When I get distracted, I try to regroup-. One way is by writing- journal writing, blog writing, whatever. Another way is to just pick up the phone and call a prospect or a leader on your team to chat. Re-connect I guess is a better term.

One thing I have realized about working at home- the 5 P's... You need to fill your Pipeline. In other words, you have to let people know what you do. Then, you have to Plant the seed, or share the information. Then you need to be Patient & Persistant- wait for your business to grow. Finally then be Prepared to accept the blessings when your harvest comes in. This applies to any business, I think! Of yeah, and don't get distracted! :)

Before I go, here is a good journal writing exercise I do in my journal writing class. Take a piece paper and number the lines 1-100. Now write down 100 things- 100 things that keep you from your purpose, 100 ways you can grow your business, 100 things you are worried about...etc...you pick what to write about.

You can repeat things if you need to or if you can't think for a sec, write skip on that line. Write it fast, without thinking..........just go!

And next time, I'll tell you how to use that information to help you in certain areas of life. Until next time, bye!

BTW- We had a G-R-E-A-T call last night with Janie Jones. She just came back from Dallas where they had a Leader of Tomorrow event. She visited AmeriPlan headquarters and she talk's here about the future of A.P. and also of her experiences as a work at home mom. The reocding link is here:

Stayin' warm- n- cozy while I work at home

I'm just toasty warm while sitting here on my computer. This morning it was pretty chilly when we woke up. Ron and I decided to start the coal stove. Man, I love it!

As the house warmed, I was surprised that I was actually looking forward to old man winter’s first visit. Unlike most people, I don’t really mind the winter.

Fall is probably my favorite season- it is beautiful. I just love how the colorful leaves on the trees reflect in the pond out back. The feeling I get is like getting ready for a renewal- lose your leaves-shed what is holding you back in life.

But that is just a prelude to the simple beauty of winter.

The sheer whiteness after a fresh snowfall is just amazing in itself.

Shoveling at night is great. You should try it sometime. It’s best done alone. The high snow banks tend to muffle any outside noises. It just makes me want to reflect, to improve on those areas where I could use some improvement. I feel as if I am alone in the world-what a great time to think!

Or not to think.

Maybe a time to just stop and listen to the quiet.

Enjoy the quiet.

Partake of it.

Become one with it.

And I can do that anytime I want! Yee-haw!

Last winter I quit my job to work at home with AmeriPlan full time. It was so cool to be home and look out the sliding door at the swirling, twirling snow. Sometimes I could not even see the goat house out back (see pic on the right) It is truly a winter wonderland!

Most mornings I would walk with the dogs in the woods behind the house. The crisp snow would crunch under our feet, interrupting the perfect peace around us. The snow-laden treetops would reach for the ground, creating natural archways for us to pass through. The fresh country air was exhilarating. I would look around me and just want to cry with joy. I am home! I don’t have to drive in the snow to go to work! I need only to walk down the hall to my office. No more scrambling for babysitters on snow days!

I no longer have to hate the snow- I can enjoy it!
Old man winter, bring it on!
Additional note:
2/20/09- I lied. Or perhaps I was mistaken.........I no longer love the winter! Bring on the flowers!

A productive week, considering!

Wednesday, another broker and I met at Denny's and got to know each other a little and brainstormed some ideas. We are going to be setting a table up at Family Fun Day at the local high school. We are also looking into hooking up with some non-profits if possible and set up tables when they have something going on. (Like during Diabetes awareness month).

It is nice to have a local broker that wants to get out there and work! It's unbelievable how many people say they want better for themselves and their family, that they want to work at home. Then, when given the opportunity, they do nothing. It's like they are paralyzed by fear of failure. Or they work a week or a month and aren't satisfied with their earnings. They quit. If they would only look at leaders within their organization and even leaders through-out history, many, many of them worked hard to get where they are. For some it took many failures, for others it took many years to get to the level they are at now. If they had quit in their first month, they never would have built the business to $100,000+/yr annual residual income.

We decided we would meet every other Wednesday night. This will hopefully turn into an opportunity to bring prospects and provide first hand information about our great benefits and the home business opportunity.

Yesterday was one of those trying days. My daughter woke up with pain in her hip, and she couldn't close her hands much at all. It looked like she was holding something. She took her ant-inflammatory stuff and went off to school. The first school dance was that afternoon, and she had been eagerly anticipating that. She and her friends had it all planned where they would stand and what they were going to do the whole time, etc.... Well, my daughter forgot her note to stay after. Being the G-R-E-A-T mom that I am, I drove back there (I had just driven through there 10 minutes before!) While at the office, I saw one of my daughter's teachers. She said my daughter was really complaining about her hip and was limping around . I figured she would deal with it as she has been doing, and take meds when she got home.

I proceeded to Family Dollar to get some scarecrows to put in my front yard. I wanted them to be holding my business sign (doesn't it look cute?). While there, Ron calls my cell phone & tells me the school nurse had called the house. My daughter was having alot of pain in her hip. I stopped back to the school.

I called the doctor for the 100th time in the past two weeks, just to make sure she could take a tylenol or something. It was cool, so I had the school nurse give her Tylenol . My daughter wanted to come home. She didn't care if she missed the school dance, she hurt.

Then the 3 muskateers (my 2 sons & the one's G.F) that all rented a place together..........well, that is a soap opera in itself.

I had my Journal Writing class last night. It went much better-everyone opened up and read some of their stuff and we really had a good time. We did a technique I read about somewhere called pick-a-word. You pick up a dictionary, bible, newspaper, whatever. Close your eyes, open the book and put your finger on the page. Write about the word you picked. One woman picked the word "time". She wrote all about the constraints of time, never having enough time, how she wishes she could wake up when she wanted, without an alarm clock. She got into how you have to go by the bosses clock, etc...(A light bulb went off in my head! I can help her!)

After she read it I said "You sound like you want to work at home. We need to talk." And left it at that. Thus far, the class know's I work at home, but I haven't said doing what yet. I am not in class to recruit or sell, really. But you can recruit and sell anywhere, so if I mention it casually, and maybe wear my benefits T-shirt, and drive my car with the lettering on the back windshield, well...hey if someone wants more info, you bet!
Anyway, speaking of time, time is moving along. I have to close for now and call my fantastic National Sales Director, Anita. We are going to stategize a little on how to get promoted to the next level. Then, over-rides kick in and my income goes up. Now, who wouldn't want that?
Check out the new training website that Anita and another NSD, Elizabeth put together. They are always creating new and exciting ways for their team to market their business. I have never worked for a place before that cared about helping me. Most places ( and people) want to hold you back. I love AmeriPlan! Anyway, the link!

Another busy week!

I started the journal writing class this week. It was interesting. The ladies were a little hesitant to share their writings, so I went a little into lesson 2, and we STILL had a little time left! Oh well. Hopefully by this Thursday, they will open up a little. That amount of time is included into the class schedule, so if they don't paticipate, we have a lot of extra time. Hopefully, someone in that parking lot at the school will see the wording on the back of my car & call for benefits or work at home.

Funny, so much has been going on that I have not really had much time to work my business. Even so, I enrolled a couple of work at home reps (benefits brokers) in the past week, and some members. The brokers had found me during a web search for Dennis or Daniel Bloom, the co-founders of Ameriplan®. The members were warm market or from flyers I had posted on bulletin boards and such while out doing family errands.

Wednesday, a couple of my local brokers are going to get together and meet. I haven't met one of them, and they all haven't met each other. We can also bring prospects. I need to get on the phone and call some past prospects who are local and see about getting them to attend.

I had my daughter up to the emergency room the other night. Her doctor said if she had pain in her hips, hands, ankles, etc... after school, take her up there. Her rheumatologist appt. isn't until late October, and that was too far away for my satisfaction. I mean, sometimes this girl is in PAIN! They took bloodwork, and gave her a prescription for painkillers to take if it got really bad again. The E.R. doc thought it sounded like Juvenile Rheumatiod Arthritis ( was that right?), but of course, that part of the bloodwork hadn't come back by 2:15 in the morning, so they released her and told us to follow-up with her doctor.

We got a new dog a couple of weeks ago. Poor Rocky was lonely without Thunder ( so was I!). We finally decided on a 1 yr.old peek-a-pom. His name was Boomer, but we switched it to Max. He started coming to Max from the first time we called him that! Look at his pic! I joke around and say he needs AmeriPlan dental!

Well, must depart for now! Toodle-loo!
